Acceptable Use Policy

1. Why this policy exists

All customers send from the same mail server. One mailbox that sends spam or harmful mail can get the server blocked by other providers and stop everyone's mail from being delivered. This policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to every mailbox of your company.

2. What is not allowed

• Spam: bulk, unsolicited or purchased-list mail, including marketing to people who did not agree to receive it. GKD Mail is not a newsletter or bulk-mail service.
• Phishing or fraud: mail that tries to obtain passwords, payment details or money by deception.
• Malware: sending viruses, harmful links or files, or anything meant to damage or take over other systems.
• Illegal content: content that breaks the laws of the State of Qatar or the law of the recipient's country, or that infringes other people's rights.
• Impersonation: pretending to be another person, company or authority, or hiding who the sender is.
• Abusing the service: getting around the sending limits or security checks, attacking our systems or other users, or reselling mailboxes without our written agreement.

3. Sending limits

• Each mailbox can send to up to 100 recipients per day and 50 per hour.
• A message, with its attachments, can be up to 25 MB.
• A signed-in mailbox can send only from its own address or one of its aliases.

Mail over a limit is refused with a message that explains why. Limits are counted by the server automatically.

4. What we may do

If a mailbox or account breaches this policy, we may block its sending, suspend the mailbox or the account, and remove the harmful mail from the queue. In urgent cases we act first and tell the company owner afterwards. A serious or repeated breach may end the service, as described in the Terms of Service.

5. Reporting abuse

To report spam, phishing or other abuse sent from a GKD Mail address, email us at the address below with the message and its full headers.
